Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.





Company/Technology

Insitu Group, Inc.

Approved: July 10, 2017 | Expires: July 31, 2022

The Boeing Company, Insitu, Inc., and Insitu Pacific Limited provide the X-200 Unmanned Aerial System (a.k.a., X-200 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (“UAV”) System or the ScanEagle™) (the “Technology”). The Technology is an autonomous aerial reconnaissance and surveillance system that can be deployed from land or sea. The Technology also includes deployment, sustainment, maintenance, training, and several other repair and report services.


JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc.

Approved: June 22, 2017 | Expires: July 31, 2022

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. provides Certified Cargo Screening Facilities (the “Technology”). The Technology includes, and provides, screeners and programmatic personnel for the screening of cargo in accordance with the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP) at TSA-approved Certified Cargo Screening Facilities (CCSFs). Employees are trained and vetted in accordance with TSA directives and guidance. Also, screeners conduct screening according to TSA regulations and guidelines using TSA-approved methods and/or equipment.


VMD Systems Integrators, Inc.

VMD Systems Integrators, Inc. provides Screening Partnership Program Services a/k/a Passenger and Baggage Security Screening Services (the “Technology”). The Technology consists of the provision of trained and skilled personnel to operate screening equipment, conduct pre-board passenger screening, and carry-on and checked luggage and accessible property screening to prevent prohibited items from entering the sterile area of an airport.


Analogic Corporation

Approved: June 22, 2017 | Expires: June 30, 2020

Analogic Corporation provides the Checkpoint CT Baggage Screening System (“ConneCT” or the “Technology”). The Technology is designed to detect explosives and other prohibited items and is used for the screening of carry-on luggage at airports or other screening checkpoints. The Technology includes all technical manuals, warranty and maintenance services, site surveys, installation and on-site support, and training services, as well as the qualifications of the personnel used to provide these services.


Image Insight Inc.

Approved: June 22, 2017 | Expires: July 31, 2019

Image Insight, Inc. provides GammaPix™ (the “Technology”). The Technology is software that can be installed onto computer or mobile devices such as phones and tables for use in detecting gamma radiation. The software works with most digital cameras to identify gamma rays emitted from a radioactive source. The Technology also includes attendant manuals and support services.


Dynamis, Inc.

Approved: June 13, 2017 | Expires: September 30, 2017

Dynamis, Inc. provides the CoBRA® Software Package (the “Technology”). The Technology is a software package that provides first responders with a decision support tool for emergency response, planning, management, training, and exercises. The tools, databases, checklists, and incident reporting capabilities can facilitate the coordination of response to all hazard incidents by first responders. The Technology also includes all support materials, technical support, product updates, and optional user training.


Landmark Event Staffing Services, Inc.

Approved: June 05, 2017 | Expires: June 30, 2020

Landmark Event Staffing Services, Inc. provides Security and Event Services (the “Technology”). The Technology provides event security, event and parking services and security and crowd management consulting services at sporting, entertainment, convention, and special event venues throughout the country.


Owl Computing Technologies, Inc.

Approved: June 05, 2017 | Expires: May 31, 2022

Owl Computing Technologies, LLC provides the DualDiode (the "Technology"). The Technology is a hardware-enforced one-way data transmission device that ensures one-way data flow between two network domains. The Technology can be purchased as part of Owl Computing Technologies, LLC’s products or as a standalone kit.


Isotec Security, Inc.

Approved: May 25, 2017 | Expires: June 30, 2022

Isotec Security, Inc provides Anti-Terrorism Access Control Portals (“ATT ACP” or the “Technology”). The Technology is a secure vestibule systems designed to detect weapons and prevent unauthorized access into, and/or out of, protected facilities. It uses a ballistic resistant enclosure outfitted with metal detectors, occupancy sensors, magnetic locks, video cameras, intercoms, and other customer requested devices to detect weapons and control personnel access.


Madison Square Garden Company

Approved: May 17, 2017 | Expires: May 31, 2020

The Madison Square Garden Company provides Madison Square Garden Arena Security Program (the “Technology”). The Technology is a comprehensive, integrated security program comprised of security policies and procedures, and physical and technological security measures designed to detect, deter, prevent, respond to, and mitigate acts of terrorism at Madison Square Garden and The Theater at Madison Square Garden at 4 Pennsylvania Plaza, New York, NY. The Technology, a 24-hour/7-days per week security program, is deployed during National Basketball Association events, National Hockey League events, Women’s National Basketball Association events, and other sports and entertainment events, as well as non-event days.
