Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

New York Yankees Partnership

Approved: December 11, 2017 | Expires: December 31, 2022

New York Yankees Partnership d/b/a The New York Yankees Baseball Club provides The New York Yankees Security Program (the "Technology"). The Technology is a comprehensive integrated security system which is comprised of physical and electronic security measures, tools, and procedures designed to detect, deter, prevent, respond to, and mitigate Acts of Terrorism at Yankee Stadium during Game Day, Non-Game Day (In-Season), Non-Season, and Special Events. The Technology includes 24/7 security coverage and incorporates systems and security practices as well as the selection and maintenance of electronic security measures and the hiring, vetting, training, and management oversight of its employees and contractors.


Genetec Inc.

Approved: December 11, 2017 | Expires: December 31, 2022

Genetec Inc., provides Security Center (the "Technology"). The Technology is a unified security platform that is designed to manage and monitor electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and automated license plate reading. The Technology can be integrated with proprietary or third-party provided software and hardware components. The Technology also includes training, technical support, and software updates.


Owens Corning or Thermafiber

Approved: November 13, 2017 | Expires: December 31, 2022

Owens Corning Sales, LLC, Owens Corning Mineral Wool, LLC, Owens Corning Insulating Systems, LLC, Owens Corning, and Thermafiber, Inc., provide Owens Corning Perimeter Fire Barrier Containment System, FireSpan® Mineral Wool Products, and Insolutions® Design and Installation Services (the "Technology"). The Technology combines passive fire containment products and services, such as Thermafiber® mineral wool, FireSpan®, Safing, Impasse®, Perimeter Fire Barrier Containment Systems, Insolutions® Design Services, training, and vendor selection. It is designed to prevent, mitigate, or contain the spread of fire in buildings.


Northrop Grumman Corporation

Approved: November 07, 2017 | Expires: November 30, 2022

Northrop Grumman Corporation provides Tier 3 Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism Services (the "Technology"). The Technology is the provision of services for the securing of cargo from importers who exceed the Tier 3 minimum security requirements promulgated by Customs and Border Protections’ Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism Program. The Technology includes the implementation of policies, procedures, training, and a risk management framework to secure the goods of the supply chain being imported into the United States.


Dynamis, Inc.

Approved: October 24, 2017 | Expires: October 31, 2022

Dynamis, Inc. provides CoBRA® (the "Technology"). The Technology is an emergency planning, response, management, training, and exercise software package. The Technology also includes a one-year support package (i.e., support materials, technical support, and product updates) and optional user training.


Halpert Life Safety Consulting Limited Liability Company

Approved: September 28, 2017 | Expires: October 31, 2020

Halpert Life Safety Consulting Limited Liability Company provides Halpert Life Safety Firestop Protocol (the "Technology"). The Technology is a combination of value engineering, inspection, and quality control services performed to ensure a building conforms to current firestop codes and standards. The Technology includes a combination of services and inspections as well as training.


Southwest Airlines Co.

Approved: September 26, 2017 | Expires: September 30, 2022

Southwest Airlines Co. ("Southwest") provides Southwest Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program (the "Technology"). The Technology is the development and implementation of a TSA-approved Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program (AOSSP), inclusive of physical and electronic security measures, tools, and procedures. The Technology does not include security screening of airline passengers or passenger carry-on or checked baggage at airport terminals.


Venuetize, LLC

Approved: September 26, 2017 | Expires: June 30, 2021

Venuetize, LLC provides Rapid Responder (the "Technology"). The Technology is a web-based software application that provides access to critical facility information enabling authorized first responders and managers to view pre-determined tactical response plans while responding to an emergency and assist in the coordination of an on-site response to emergency incidents. The Technology includes training and maintenance services.


American Science & Engineering, Inc.

Approved: September 26, 2017 | Expires: October 31, 2022

American Science and Engineering, Inc. ("AS&E") provides the Mini Z® (the "Technology"). The Technology is hand-held screening system, which uses X-rays to detect threats such as organic material, plastic guns, ceramic knives, and explosives. The Technology also includes a 2-day training course, technical documentation and manuals, and maintenance and warranty services.


The Boeing Company

Approved: September 26, 2017 | Expires: October 31, 2022

The Boeing Company provides Border Security Systems and Services (the "Technology"). The Technology comprises hardware, software, and services intended to aid personnel charged with securing borders, critical infrastructure, facilities, and sites by providing real time situational awareness and decision support capabilities. The Technology also includes data, materials, and subscription services.
