Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. The Technology consists of: personnel screening and training; passenger and cargo screening processes, equipment, materials, software and data; and subscription services.

(“GGP”) provides Shopping Mall Security Management Services to Shopping Mall common areas, as well as the Shopping Mall outside perimeter and on-site parking locations (the “Technology”). The Technology is a centralized corporate program designed to: (1) identify and promulgate security practices inclusive of anti-terrorism capabilities across GGP’s properties, (2) track and enforce compliance with those measures, and (3) develop and implement a program for responding to emergencies at GGP’s properties. The Technology also includes the use of GGP’s proprietary software programs and selection and placement of appropriate security equipment.
Howe & Howe Technologies, Inc. Approved: June 30, 2014 \| Expires: July 31, 2017 Howe & Howe Technologies, Inc. provides RS1-RBS1 Robotic Ballistic Shield (“SWAT BOT” or the “Technology”). The Technology is a mid-sized robot designed for Special Weapons and Tactics/Special Emergency Response Team operations.
Michael Stapleton Associates, Ltd. Approved: June 23, 2014 \| Expires: June 30, 2019 Michael Stapleton Associates, Ltd. provides Explosive Detection Canine Teams and SmartTech Explosive Detection System (the “Technology”). The Technology also includes the recruitment, hiring, and training of the employees providing these services. The Explosive Detection Canine Teams component of the Technology has received SAFETY Act Designation and Certification. The SmartTech component of the Technology is a system that allows for the transmission of X-ray images to a remotely located bomb technician who provides immediate safety advice for the X-ray machine operator; this component of the Technology has received SAFETY Act Designation.
24/7 Software, Inc. Approved: June 10, 2014 \| Expires: June 30, 2019 24/7 Software, Inc. provides 24/7 Software Platform (the "Technology"). The Technology is a web-based system designed to enhance the situational awareness, safety, and security at sporting and entertainment events. The system is a means to digitally record, communicate, monitor, and analyze incidents occurring during events at sports and entertainment venues.
