Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Rapiscan Systems, Inc.

Approved: November 07, 2014 | Expires: November 30, 2019

Rapiscan Systems, Inc. provides Radiation Monitors (the “Technology”). The Technology is a series of detection devices designed to detect the presence of radioactive material. The devices are designed to acquire and analyze data and produce alarms in the event certain conditions are met. The Technology also includes installation, maintenance, and training services; and operator and technical manuals.


Alert Logic, Inc.

Approved: October 31, 2014 | Expires: November 30, 2019

Alert Logic, Inc. provides Threat Manager, Log Manager, Web Security Manager, Active Watch, and Log Review (the “Technology”). The Technology is a suite of products that provide a cyber vulnerability assessment, intrusion detection, and a web-application firewall all designed to prevent and detect cyber attacks on a customer’s system. The Technology includes a 24x7 security operations center that monitors and analyzes incidents. Analysts work with customers to help remediate threats and attacks.


Ryder System, Inc.

Approved: October 30, 2014 | Expires: November 30, 2019

Ryder System, Inc. provides the Global Supply Chain Security Program (the “Technology”). The Technology is a set of policies and procedures for secure delivery of goods being imported or delivered into the United States from international locations. The Technology includes development of policies and procedures, hiring and vetting of employees and third-party contractors, training, and quality assurance over implementation of the Technology. The policies, procedures, and implementation of the Technology comply with, and are certified under, the voluntary U.S. Customs and Border Protection (“CBP”) Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (“C-TPAT”) program.


Total Aviation Services, LLC

Approved: October 29, 2014 | Expires: November 30, 2019

Total Aviation Services, LLC provides a Certified Cargo Screening Facility/Indirect Air Carrier (the “Technology”). The Technology is designed to aid in meeting the congressional mandate that 100 percent of cargo placed on passenger airplanes be screened.


IntelaSight, Inc. dba Iveda Solutions

Approved: October 29, 2014 | Expires: October 31, 2019

IntelaSight, Inc., dba Iveda Solutions provides Real-Time IP Video Hosting and Real-Time Remote Surveillance (the “Technology”). The Technology is a set of services designed to secure a site through the monitoring of a security system installed by a third-party partner of the Seller. The services include the Datacenter, Centralized Video Hosting, and Remote Monitoring.


International Express Trucking, Inc.

Approved: October 29, 2014 | Expires: November 30, 2019

International Express Trucking, Inc. provides a Certified Cargo Screening Facility (the "Technology"). The Technology is a Certified Cargo Screening Facility, designed to aid in meeting the congressional mandate that 100 percent of cargo placed on passenger airplanes be screened. The Technology includes, and provides, screeners and programmatic personnel for the screening of cargo in accordance with the Transportation Security Administration (“TSA”)’s Certified Cargo Screening Program at TSA-approved Certified Cargo Screening Facilities.


PKWARE Corporation

Approved: October 28, 2014 | Expires: October 31, 2019

PKWARE Corporation provides Smartcrypt, formerly called SecureZIP (the "Technology"). The Technology is a software package that provides the ability to protect and safeguard sensitive organizational data in the event of data theft or a terrorist attack on a network. The Technology provides ZIP compression and uses strong AES 256 encryption to protect data in motion or at rest. The Technology also includes Help Desk services.


Elmridge Protection Products, LLC

Approved: October 17, 2014 | Expires: October 31, 2019

Elmridge Protection Products, LLC provides the iEvac® Fire Escape Hood (the “Technology”). The Technology is a personal safety device used to protect the wearer against the potential inhalation of toxic gases or harmful particulates. The Technology also includes a user manual.


Explosive Countermeasures International, Inc.

Approved: October 10, 2014 | Expires: October 31, 2019

Explosive Countermeasures International, Inc. provides Explosive Detection Canine Teams (the “Technology”). The Technology provides a military-trained or law enforcement-trained canine handler with an explosive detection canine to detect odors associated with explosives. The Technology also includes training and operations manuals.


Bayer MaterialScience LLC

Approved: September 30, 2014 | Expires: October 31, 2017

Bayer MaterialScience (“BMS”) LLC provides School Building Security Assessment and Retrofit (the “Technology”). The Technology is a set of services designed to improve the security of K-12 school facilities. The Technology consists of the BMS design and integration services to install security systems using both BMS and third-party commercial-off-the-shelf hardware and services.
