Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. The Technology is a set of professional engineering services and proprietary vehicle, traffic modeling, and forensic software tools used to prevent and mitigate the effects of vehicle-ramming and vehicle-borne improvised explosive device attacks at mass gatherings and critical infrastructure.

The Technology is a comprehensive, integrated security program comprised of security policies and procedures, services, controls, systems and structural, physical, and technological security measures designed to detect, deter, prevent, respond to, and mitigate acts of terrorism at U.S. Bank Stadium, including the stadium and surrounding areas.

The Technology is a comprehensive program that includes the screening of visitors and packages, emergency plans, threat assessments, physical and electronic security equipment, and trained personnel. The Technology applies to the entire stadium property, including the seating bowl and suites; gates; loading dock; inner and secondary perimeters; field; locker rooms; utility and mechanical systems; and command center.

The Technology is a voluntary, biometrically secured, identification and access system for use as part of the Transportation Security Administration’s ("TSA") Registered Traveler program or other similar programs. The Technology also includes site surveys, installation and integration operations, training, technical manuals, warranty and maintenance services, customer support services, selection criteria for TSA-approved technologies, venders, and commercial-off-the-shelf products, the associated personnel qualification program, and spare parts.
