Certifications

For Certification, a technology must have demonstrated confidence of continued effectiveness: i.e., it will perform as intended, conform to the seller’s specifications, and is safe for use as intended. In addition to the benefits provided under Designation, Certification allows Sellers of antiterrorism technologies to assert the Government Contractor Defense that immunizes Sellers from liability for claims arising from acts of terrorism. Technologies that receive Certification will be also placed on an Approved Products List for Homeland Security. Designation is a prerequisite for Certification.

Service Source, Inc., provides a Mail Processing, Screening, and Distribution Service. The Technology is an integrated set of processes, procedures, equipment, and personnel designed to safeguard facilities, their occupants, and addressees against mail-borne chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive threats. The Technology includes the receipt, screening, processing, and distribution of incoming mail and parcels. It is deployed in accordance with operational requirements set forth by the Department of Homeland Security. Included in the Technology are all manuals and technical documents associated with deployment of the Technology as well as the underlying process.


Raytheon Company

Raytheon Company and its wholly owned subsidiary Raytheon Technical Services Company, LLC, provide Private Screening Services as part of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Screening Partnership Program (SPP). The Technology consists of trained and certified personnel who conduct passenger, airport employee, and baggage screening in accordance with TSA guidelines and standard operating procedures. The Technology also includes operation, training, and maintenance as related to airport screening equipment. Certification of the Technology is specific to deployment at Key West International Airport (Florida).

The Technology is the installation and integration of electronic security systems in commercial buildings, which provide access control, alarm monitoring, and situational awareness. The Technology also includes the operating manuals and deliverables associated with these systems, maintenance and warranty services.

Siemens Government Services, Inc., provides Maintenance and Repair Services. The Technology consists of maintenance, repair, and technical support services provided to ensure that screening equipment, such as that deployed at airports and other high–security buildings, is available for threat detection and functions properly. Supported screening systems include Explosive Trace Detectors, cabinet X–ray–based systems, Enhanced Metal Detectors, Explosives Detection Systems, and Advanced Spectroscopic Portals. Elements of the Technology include: field and preventive maintenance–performed in strict conformance with manufacturer and customer requirements–and support services for screening systems; service provider training; and technical documents and manuals.


SAIC

SAIC provides Vehicle and Cargo Inspection System (VACIS®). The Technology is a non-intrusive inspection tool used to create 2-dimensional radioscopic images of large vehicles, cargo containers, palletized cargo, and other bulk cargo. Operating as a density imager against the threat posed by Weapons of Mass Destruction, smuggling of stowaways, and conventional weapons, VACIS® detects threats through the projection of shapes, objects, or densities that are inconsistent with customs declarations and shipping documents.

Analogic Corporation provides the Carry-On Baggage Real-Time Assessment (COBRA), an automated explosives and weapons detection system for the screening of carry-on items at screening checkpoints. The Technology uses volumetric Computer Tomography (CT)-based X-rays and detection algorithms to scan objects, detect a variety of threats, and display high-resolution 3-D bag images for on-screen evaluation.


Top Eye View, Inc.

Top Eye View, Inc. provides the BLN-III “Eye in the Sky”. The Technology is an unmanned tethered blimp designed to operate at low altitudes and provide aerial surveillance. It is equipped with cameras possessing pan, zoom, and tilt capabilities as well as the ability to transmit images and video feed to specified operation centers.
