Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. There are two major lines of devices: the ParcelSearch systems, which are used to scan packages and the mobile systems which, are used to scan cargo and vehicles. The Technology also includes: installation, maintenance, training, warranty, spare parts, technical documentation, and all qualified personnel.
Protex Technologies, Inc.: Explosafe® Suppression System Approved: June 20, 2008 \| Expires: July 31, 2013 Protex Technologies, Inc. provides the Explosafe® Suppression System. The Technology is an aluminum mesh designed to be installed in fuel tanks or enclosed containers of flammable liquids or gases. Should one of these containers come under attack via explosives, ballistic projectiles, or low energy threats such as gunfire and electrical discharge, the Technology would prevent or reduce the effects of the explosion of such containers.

The Technology is a device that provides both the function of seal and lock for cargo containers. With the Technology in place on the cargo container’s door mechanism, any tampering with the mechanism will be noticeable upon inspection. There are three models: Single Use Sealock, Keeper Sealock, and Sealock Junior. All three are C-TPAT compliant.
