Designations

For Designation as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology (QATT), a technology must demonstrate effectiveness during operational testing or through prior use. Designation provides limited liability for third-party claims arising out of the deployment of the QATT with respect to an "Act of Terrorism." The maximum liability is determined by DHS, and the Seller is required to maintain liability insurance at that level. Other protections include immunity from punitive damages. A full Designation normally lasts for 5 years and can be renewed. Any technology deployed during its period of Designation is protected for the lifetime of its deployment.

The Technology also includes system acquisition, installation, acceptance testing, maintenance, personnel training, and periodic reviews.

The Technology also includes support services such as deployment and installation, sample collection and preparation, field maintenance, and training; and, consumable supplies. This Designation will expire on November 30, 2021.

The Technology is a security vestibule system designed to prevent or delay access to a facility by individuals with firearms. The Technology combines weapons detection technology using metal detectors and entry/exit man-trap traffic control of personnel incorporating bullet resistive materials.

Alluviam, LLC, provides the HazMasterG3®, (the “Technology”) a decision-support software suite for use on many cell phones, personal data assistants, or laptop computers. Based on user input, the software provides planning or response support to first responders for many chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive (CBRNE) threats.
