Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

The Boeing Company Approved: April 25, 2024 \| Expires: April 30, 2029 The Boeing Company provides the e-Enabled Architecture (the Technology). The Technology includes secure networking capabilities that can be deployed in support of commercial aviation applications and operations.
The Boeing Company Approved: May 30, 2023 \| Expires: May 31, 2028 The Boeing Company provides Enhanced Security Flight Deck Door Technologies (the "Technology"). The Technology is specialized flight deck doors and other features designed to protect the flight crew and certain flight critical equipment on commercial aircraft. The Technology also includes services such as design, manufacturing, installation, and retrofitting as well as training and maintenance.
The Boeing Company Approved: February 01, 2023 \| Expires: January 31, 2028 The Boeing Company provides Explosive Detection Canine Services. The Technology is Explosives Detection Canine Services (EDCS) used to detect explosives in a variety of settings. The Technology consists of the following components: Explosive Detection Canine-Handler Teams (EDCT), Bomb Appraisal Officers (BAO), Canine Unit Trainers (CUT), and Explosives Detection Canine Training Services.
Insitu Group, Inc. Approved: September 26, 2022 \| Expires: October 31, 2027 The Boeing Company, Insitu, Inc., and Insitu Pacific Limited provide the X-200 Unmanned Aerial System (a.k.a., X-200 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle ("UAV") System or the ScanEagle™) (the "Technology"). The Technology is an autonomous aerial reconnaissance and surveillance system that can be deployed from land or sea. The Technology also includes deployment, sustainment, maintenance, training, and several other repair and report services.
The Boeing Company Approved: May 20, 2022 \| Expires: May 31, 2028 The Boeing Company provides Communications, Navigation, Surveillance and Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) Systems Engineering Services (CASES), which are used to secure CNS/ATM systems against unauthorized activities.
The Boeing Company Approved: March 05, 2020 \| Expires: March 31, 2025 The Boeing Company ("Boeing") provides the Aircraft Delivery Security Operations ("ADSO" or the "Technology"). The Technology is a program of plans, personnel, and procedures designed to maintain the safety and security of Boeing commercial aircraft delivery flights. The Technology includes service and maintenance of Transportation Security Administration-certified screening equipment, software, data, materials, audits of screening processes, and training.

Approved: October 25, 2019 \| Expires: November 30, 2024 Boeing Distribution, Inc. a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, a Delaware corporation, (the "Seller") provides Tier 3 Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism ("C-TPAT") Services (the "Technology"). The Technology provides shipping services that are currently certified under the Customs and Border Protection ("CBP") C-TPAT program, and that are validated by CBP as exceeding C-TPAT minimum security criteria to perform at a Tier 3 level.

The Technology consists of an entity management framework, a data repository, and a data ingest function. It also includes system development and customization, installation, integration, system administration, training, maintenance, and off-site support.

The Technology is a platform for developing data management applications and services intended to securely extract, transform, and load data that form the foundation for data analysis and decision-making by customers, across broad areas of operations. Typical extract, transform, load ("ETL") processes employ bulk extraction and loading. The framework allows analysts to rapidly access metadata with increased quality, speed, versatility, and reliability.
