Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball Approved: September 27, 2024 | Expires: September 30, 2028 The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball (MLB), an unincorporated association in the state of New York, provides the MLB Security Planning, Review, and Oversight Program, a comprehensive set of best practices for stadium security at Major League Baseball games (MLB games) and events (MLB events, and collectively with MLB games, MLB games and events) for Major League Baseball Clubs (MLB Clubs) and stadium operators to promote a consistent baseline of security protocols across MLB.
MLB Approved: April 26, 2018 | Expires: May 31, 2023 The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball ("MLB", the "Seller"), provides the MLB Security Planning, Review, and Oversight Program, which provides a comprehensive set of best practices for stadium security at Major League Baseball games ("MLB games") and events ("MLB events", and, collectively, with MLB games, "MLB games and events") for Major League Baseball Clubs ("MLB Clubs") and stadium operators to promote a consistent baseline of security protocols across Major League Baseball (the "Technology"). The Technology does not include the actual implementation of security measures by individual MLB Clubs and/or stadium operators.
The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball (“MLB”) Approved: July 21, 2015 | Expires: August 31, 2018 The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball (“MLB”) provides the MLB Security Planning, Review, and Oversight Program (the “Technology”). The Technology provides a comprehensive set of best practices for stadium security at MLB events, supported by MLB oversight and review of the security planning process.
The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball (“MLB”) Approved: July 02, 2015 | Expires: July 31, 2017 The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball (“MLB”) provides the All-Star Game (“ASG”) Security Program (the “Technology”). The Technology is the process the Applicant uses to participate in and review security planning, engage with local law enforcement and stadium security officials, and assess security performance for the 86th ASG on July 14, 2015, and the associated Home Run Derby to be held on July 13, 2015, at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio.
MLB Approved: June 28, 2012 | Expires: July 31, 2014 The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball (“MLB”) provides its 83rd MLB All-Star Game Security Review and Oversight Activities, for the 83rd MLB All-Star Game to be held on July 10, 2012, and the associated Home Run Derby to be held on July 9, 2012, at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri (collectively, the “2012 All-Star Events”). UPDATE: This Developmental Testing and Evaluation Designation was amended on June 27, 2013, to include the 84th MLB All-Star Game Security Review and Oversight Activities, for the 84th MLB All-Star Game to be held on July 16, 2013, and the associated Home Run Derby to be held on July 15, 2013, at Citi Field in New York, New York (collectively, the “2013 All-Star Events").
