Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. L-3 Communications Security and Detection Systems, Inc. Approved: August 05, 2013 \| Expires: October 31, 2016 L-3 Communications Security and Detection Systems, Inc. provides Security X-ray Inspection and Screening System (the “Technology”). The Technology is an x-ray inspection and screening system which detects threat objects, including explosives, weapons, narcotics, and other contraband in baggage and packages. The Technology also includes installation, maintenance, customer service and support, and technical documents.

Contemporary Services Corporation Approved: July 18, 2013 \| Expires: August 31, 2018 Contemporary Services Corporation (“CSC”) provides Event Security Services (the "Technology"). The Technology is a set of core activities and a set of enhanced, customer-driven, activities including physical security, access control, and crowd management. The Technology also includes CSC’s Quality Assurance procedures that include selection, vetting, and training of employees; periodic internal, external (third-party), and Red Team assessments of CSC’s effectiveness; and an annual review process.
